Emotional Intelligent(EQ) is the ability to understand yourselves and others emotions.

In addition to It is the ability to manage emotions, control stress, and empathize with others.

Emotional intelligence was first described by Solavey and Mayer in 1990.They described.

The Salovay and Mayer model, which is a narrow definition, is called the ability model.

On the other hand, Goleman's definition of emotional intelligence is broader and referred to as a mixed model. Daniel Goleman emphasizes that,emotional intelligenceis more important than cognitive intelligence. If the Someone has poor emotional intelligence,

He definitely expresses that he will fail in his job, family and social life.

In fact, emotional intelligence consists of four parts. First, get to know yourself, Second, empathy with others. Third, understand the environment and the situation, fourth

Evaluate people, events and situations objectively


Firstly, you should know yourself.Who I am,What I want ,How I want to live..

It is not possible for our emotional intelligence to activate without knowing ourselves.

Briefly,If you don’t Know yourself,You won’t be understand others.

How to understand ourselves?We must start with our strengths and awareness of our values, to know and understand ourselves. If you want to aware of your strengths,You will look at which your easliy doing.Everybody thinks about If they are doing easily ,others do easily do but ıt is not true.For example, closest friend of mine is writing stories which are beatiful and succesful. she says , When I start writing, the story begins and ends spontaneously.


Secondly ,You should try to feel others emotion.To understand what others are feeling, you need to put yourself in that person's shoes. The question we should ask ourselves for this is; how would I feel if I were him. Learning to empathize requires constant exercise. Learning this way of thinking makes us more sensitive and makes us more human.


Thirdly, understand the environment and the situation, accept what happened and adopt a new perspective that will positively affect you. We need to develop and maintain an objective perspective in all aspects. In order to learn this style of behavior, it is necessary to stay calm and watch from an observer perspective.


Fourthly, Evaluate people, events and situations objectively This stage means understanding the relationships we establish, events, situations, relationships between individuals and analyze the connections clearly.



In conclusion; In fact, emotional intelligence consists of four parts. First, get to know yourself, Second, empathy with others. Third, understand the environment and the situation, fourth Evaluate people, events and situations objectively. The question is why should we improve our emotional intelligence? No matter how high our cognitive intelligence is, it is impossible for a person with low communication skills to climb the successful steps.
